VR Build Kit is built with work shared by generous creators. Here is who made the third-party content in our public libraries and the licenses it is used under.

1. 3D models

Public Model Library items were obtained from the free model collections distributed with Sweet Home 3D. We normalized their scale, orientation, and materials for mixed reality. These changes are recorded in each model's downloadable metadata. The creators do not endorse VR Build Kit.

2. Materials and textures

  • ambientCG — texture sets used under the CC0 1.0 Public Domain Dedication. Thank you to Lennart Demes and ambientCG.
  • Poly Haven — texture sources used under the CC0 license.
  • VR Build Kit originals — materials, color presets, and utility patterns created by us or generated for the library, some derived from the CC0 sources above.

CC0 does not require attribution, but we credit these projects because they make this work possible. Material names describe a general look, not a specific manufacturer's product.

5. Using library content

  • Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) models may be shared and adapted, including commercially, if you give appropriate credit, link to the license, and indicate that changes were made.
  • When you download a model, keep its attribution file with it. When you share an exported project that includes library models, include the credits.
  • Do not imply that a creator endorses you or your project.
