Acceptable Use & AI Policy
Effective and last updated September 30, 2026
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everything you upload, generate, share, stream, or say in the Service.
1. Content you may not upload or create
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights, including plans, models, textures, or branded products you do not have permission to use.
- Other people's personal or confidential information without authorization, such as security layouts, access codes, or private floor plans of homes you have no right to share.
- Plans or models intended to help commit a crime, evade security, or harm people or property.
- Sexual content involving minors, sexually explicit content, or content that exploits anyone.
- Harassing, hateful, threatening, or violent content, or content that promotes self-harm.
- Malware, harmful code, or files designed to exploit software or devices.
- Deceptive content, such as renderings presented as a real, completed, or approved property when they are not, or content that impersonates a person, company, or government body.
2. Conduct that is not allowed
- Accessing or trying to access accounts, projects, meetings, or data you are not authorized to use, including guessing QR codes, room codes, or invitation links.
- Sharing accounts, reselling access, or using multiple accounts or shared credentials to get around plan limits or spending controls.
- Probing, scanning, or testing for vulnerabilities without our written permission, or disrupting, overloading, or bypassing security or rate limits.
- Scraping, bulk downloading, or copying the Service or libraries except as their licenses allow, or using the Service to build a competing product or train AI models.
- Reverse engineering or decompiling the Service or Quest app, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
- Recording, transcribing, or streaming people without legally required consent.
- Using the Service in a way that violates law, including export controls, sanctions, consumer protection, or privacy law.
3. How AI features work
- You are interacting with AI. The generation assistant, floor-plan interpretation, room and object generation, material generation, voice commands, and summaries are powered by AI models, currently from OpenAI.
- What is sent. The prompts, messages, files, images, and voice audio needed for the feature are sent to the AI provider. See AI processing in the Privacy Policy.
- What comes back is generated. Rooms, models, materials, textures, measurements, and summaries created by these features are AI-generated or AI-assisted, even when later edited by you or an artist.
- Accuracy. AI can misread plans, invent details, and get scale wrong. Treat outputs as drafts for visualization, not as construction information. See Visualization only.
- Cost. Hosted generation uses paid provider capacity and is charged as described in the billing terms.
- Improvement. We may review prompts, inputs, and outputs from failed or low-quality jobs to fix our workflows. We do not use your project files to train general-purpose AI models.
4. Rules for AI features
- Do not ask AI features to reproduce copyrighted plans, branded product designs, logos, or trademarks you do not have rights to use.
- Do not try to bypass safety controls, spending limits, or usage policies, including through prompt injection hidden in uploaded files.
- Do not present AI-generated renderings to clients, buyers, lenders, or authorities as accurate as-built conditions, approved designs, or real photographs.
- Follow the usage policies of our AI providers, including OpenAI's usage policies.
5. Enforcement and reporting
We may remove content, limit features, stop jobs, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and let you respond. To report a violation, email support@vrbuildkit.com. For copyright complaints, follow the Copyright & DMCA Policy.
