Accessibility
Effective and last updated September 30, 2026
We want everyone to be able to use VR Build Kit.
1. Our goal
We aim to make the website conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Accessibility is ongoing work, and we are still reviewing parts of the site against that standard.
2. What we do
- Use semantic page structure, labeled form fields, keyboard-reachable controls, and visible focus states.
- Provide text alternatives and text descriptions for key information shown in images and 3D previews.
- Review new features for color contrast, keyboard access, and screen reader labels before release.
- Follow Meta's accessibility guidance for the Quest app where the platform supports it.
3. Known limitations
- Interactive 3D model viewers and headset experiences are highly visual and may not be fully usable with screen readers. Project details, dimensions, and file information are also provided as text where possible.
- Using the Quest app requires the ability to wear a headset and use hand tracking or controllers. Voice controls provide an alternative for some actions.
- Some older pages and third-party components, such as payment pages hosted by Stripe, may not yet meet every WCAG criterion.
4. Get help or report a barrier
If something is hard to use, email support@vrbuildkit.com with the page and the problem. We will try to respond within 5 business days and can help you complete tasks, such as setting up a project, another way.
